This is all well and good, but how does one select when a poll will expire/no longer allow voting?? People aren’t logging onto Facebook nearly as often as they used to, so in some cases by the time they see a poll– like in a group, which is what I’m talking about– chances are it will have expired/they’ll no longer be able to vote (and in some cases they won’t mention it/Comment so you’ll have no idea).
On top of that, the option to add Events to groups seems to have disappeared suddenly and for no reason.
I get that FB is ultimately meant to make its users available to be advertised to etc, but you’d think that removing features would make users less inclined to stay. You can try sending Feedback, but you’ll never get a response/it won’t make a difference; it seems that FB staff have stopped trying. Can’t wait for some equivalent to come along and replace it.

Help! Someone hacked my account and posted four serious violations? Facebook suspended my account and says I must appeal in 15 days or my account . will be permantly deleted . However, I cannot access the account at all to file an appeal. I’ve tried various email addresses that all come back as undeliverableable. I am very upset because I have years of memories that I can’t stand the thought of losing. I’m desparate ! HELP!

I have been on FB for a little over 24 hours and had my account suspended. I made no posts or correspondence with anyone or any organization. I reached out to no one nor browsed. My only activity was to search through FB Marketplace on two separate occasions. Clearly, I adhered to Community Standards.

I had an account for less than 24 hrs, placed a few polite bids in the local Marketplace when the FB AI suspended my account, no warning just immediate suspension. My guess is my use of a VPN to protect my privacy triggered it, the AI assumed I was not a real person because it could not track my location data. Their AI is certainly overly aggressive with suspensions and is an excuse to collect more data on its users.

There is almost no appeal process. The standards are policed by a computer program that eavesdrops, and very often misunderstands a message/post. It is sniping at key words, not content or context. This is a very criticized, and often hated process. Facebook must be legally compelled to hire live reps to oversee this process, with documentation available to govt regulatory commissions. The US Govt has dropped the ball in partnering with FB in this task. I can see why many users have abandoned FB altogether.
