Cabrini Health Gandel Wing
DesignInc provided health planning services as the collaborating clinical consultant to Bates Smart; architects of Cabrini Health’s new Gandel Wing.
Integrating technology with patient-centred healthcare was pivotal to the clinical planning for this seven-storey building which features the latest in technology innovation and urban amenity with a focus on wellbeing and healing.
The clinical offering improvements include expansion of the emergency department, upgraded maternity, cardiac and geriatric services, and new oncology services. The new radiotherapy facility, located four levels underground, incorporates a linear accelerator to provide oncology patients with the latest in stereotactic radiation therapy.
